The Decision Café : Conceptual Interactive Menu : THIS BOOK TALKS!

The Decision Café is a hands-on visualization of the decision making process. As pages are turned, overlapping voices describe the person we become with that decision: “I’m a laid back chick: I drink beer” or “I’m a girly girl. I get sweet cocktails”. At the moment in which we must make a decision, there are waves of possible futures that flow through our heads. We are testing the outcome of each option. Who will we become? With this project, I have exemplified the moment where our identity is up for grabs in an interactive way. This project seeks to make you aware of the impact decisions can have on identity.

I am, at my core, a problem solver. I believe in intersections and collaboration. Making connections with people from every step of the design process is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I am interested in most things. I believe that if your mind isn’t blown at least once a week, you’re doing something wrong. I want to implement ideas never seen before, and to create effective designs that enhance people’s lives.
